I don’t get it.  That is the problem. Losing weight is really easy once you understand.  Do you want to know how Elon Mush help us learn how to lose 5 pounds in a week?  Elon Musk is consider a genius for his drive to build electric cars and space rockets that will go to mars.  In his auto biography (Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future) they say that it is not finding the right answer that is hard, it is asking the right questions.  So how to lose 5 pounds in a week is the right first question?

What Plan?

Do I really?  Yes you do?  Is it hard?  The question is do you have to have a plan to lose weight?  The answer is yes.  Make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, and throw away the plan and continue.  Rinse and repeat.  The plan doesn’t have to be perfect but you do need one even it is the most basic as I will write down one thing I eat today. Start line.

You know what to do.  See losing weight is not hard.  Making the decisions to change is.  What you don’t know is your mind is a sleep when it comes to eating.  You have developed a habit of eating bad food most likely if your over weight or unhealthy.  How do you start a habit?  You do it for 21 days and then it is a part of the mind that is no longer thinking.  When you started driving you had to think about everything.  Now you drive without thinking. If you change one thing and do it for 21 days it will become a habit.  The longer you do it less thought it takes.

The reason.  Losing the 5 pounds.  If you can’t figure out how to lose the 5 pounds your not going to figure out how to lose the 25 or 50 pounds.  Meaning you need to start journaling your diet.  This can be done in a notepad of an app like My Fitness Pal.  This is free app and will tell you how much your eating.  This is key because once you’re aware of what your eating, your awake to this habit and you can change it.

Building up steam! How to lose 5 pounds in week!

Start today.  If you don’t start today, you will never finish.  You need to get mad or emotional and take action.  There is a great book called the 5 second rule(The 5 Second Rule: Transform your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage) says that once you have an idea you need to count from 5 down to 1 and take physical action.  Start today because you want to learn how to lose 5 pounds in week.

You Don’t Have To Kill Yourself.

Were they wrong?  Why didn’t weight loss work for them?  A lot of people fail at losing weight.  Maybe it is to high of an expectation or maybe they just think it is to tough.  Here is the truth.  Your body is made of mostly water.  If you really want to see that scale move you just need to get 5 pounds of water out of your body by sweating it out.  Wrestlers do this all the time to meet a lower weight class.  This is not the way to keep it off and it is not safe either.

A normal body weight is natural.  It is not forced.  Losing or gaining weight is as natural as grass growing.  That means that yes you can lose weight quickly but to keep it off,  has to be over time.   Once you start changing your diet and see how your body reacts. Then you will see that if you cheat one day which is fine since it is only 1 day out of your 21 days you will notice your weight will increase.  Same goes for rest day when working out.  Make small changes every day and they will amount in big changes over time.

Do it now.

It’s not going to lose itself.  Your weight is not going to change if you keep doing the same thing.  Do you need to start running 3 miles a day like we did.  Nope, but we wanted to see faster change.  Is change tough?  Yes it is that is why so many are failing.  Don’t try to change it all at once.  Just do one thing and keep track.  Later on you can add supplements and make a better workout plan.  Is it worth it?

The Finish Line.

When you least expect it.  That is when it happens.  That one person will say ” Susan, have you lost weight?”  This will hit you like a ton of bricks.  The people that are around you will not notice your body changing since no one notices that the grass or trees or kids growing when they see them everyday.  This will come from someone that hasn’t seen you in a while and it will feel so good and propel you on to keep doing what your doing which is reaching that body type your working for.
